The Archewell Foundation, established by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has been issued a delinquency notice by California’s Registry of Charities and Fundraisers for failing to submit annual records and renewal fees, leading to a ‘delinquent’ label and an order to halt fundraising activities until the issue is resolved.
The Archewell Foundation, established by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2020, has been issued a delinquency notice by California’s Registry of Charities and Fundraisers. The notice was issued because the foundation failed to submit required annual records and renewal fees. As a result, the foundation has been labeled as “delinquent” and ordered to cease fundraising activities immediately as its registration could be suspended or revoked. The foundation responded by sending a new cheque to correct the filing issue, expecting the matter to be resolved within seven business days. The situation arose despite the foundation’s belief that it had met the submission deadlines and payment requirements.
