An Australian farm has claimed the Guinness World Record for growing the heaviest blueberry ever recorded, weighing an astonishing 20.4 grams and measuring 39.31mm in width. Cultivated at the Costa Group’s farm in Corindi, New South Wales, this significant achievement was accomplished with a new variety of blueberry named Eterna, cultivated specifically to produce larger fruit without compromising on quality or flavour. The impressive berry, roughly ten times the weight of an average blueberry, is part of the farm’s effort to meet consumer demand for bigger berries. Following its record-breaking achievement, plans are underway to preserve the giant blueberry, with methods such as freezing in ice or creating a resin cast being considered.
In a separate record-breaking feat, Ukrainian strongman Dmytro Hrunskyi has shattered the Guinness World Record for pulling the heaviest vehicle with his beard. The 35-year-old managed to haul a bus weighing 5,687lb, outdoing the previous record held by a Lithuanian competitor. Hrunskyi, who had failed in a prior attempt that resulted in his whiskers being pulled out, grew his beard longer and used various braiding techniques to reinforce its strength. Alongside this unique record, Hrunskyi also set a record for pulling the heaviest vehicle by the neck, a staggering 17,107lb, and improved his own record for pulling the most cars with his teeth to seven vehicles, demonstrating his extraordinary strength and determination.
